Misused? Monday.
Misused? Monday.
2018 is off to a really strong start for ridiculousness. Today reading one of the most moronic articles I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. I’ve come to the conclusion that there is a large segment of the population that have simply lost their minds....
A teenage girl who goes by @rebeca_macais18 on twitter lost her dog. She subsequently made a post asking if anyone saw her dog too please contact her.
The problem?
She named her dog Negro. The Spanish word for black.
Of course. The internet being the internet, some people freaked out. They claimed she knew exactly what she was doing by naming her dog that! She OBVIOUSLY meant it as a direct insult to ALL black people everywhere! It has nothing, absolutely NOTHING! To do with the fact that the dog is black...
People were so OFFENDED by these facts, that they hoped a teenage girl who never meant to be offensive would lose her dog for good. And someone with a "heart" would find it and name it something "proper"...
What’s more offensive. A girl naming her dog her languages word for black, the dogs color? Or people feigning outrage over what a teenager chose to name her dog?
For me, it’s not even a question. The teenager did nothing wrong.
Apparently these days however, you’re supposed to put everyone’s feelings above your personal freedoms.
Maybe, Just MAYBE! These people need to not take things so seriously and chill out! It’s unreal that these are the things people are debating on twitter in 2018....
Finished this small piece today. And got some more progress done on this big one.... Enjoy!
Hope your Monday went well everyone.
Sincerely, Bret Frick.
